Thinly sliced chicken breasts, also known as chicken cutlets, are such a versatile ingredient and a great protein source for creating quick meals or even meal prep.

Units Scale
  • 1 lb chicken cutlets | sub chicken breast sliced into cutlets (see the post for instructions)
  • 1 teaspoon salt | kosher salt is preferred
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

For Baking

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

For Pan Frying

  • 1 tablespoon butter*
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Baking Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Toss the chicken in the oil and seasonings.
  3. Bake for 15 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.

Pan Frying Instructions

  1. Melt butter into olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
  2. Toss chicken in the seasoning and carefully lay in to pan. To make sure the chicken gets nice and browned, don't over crowd the pan.
  3. Cook each side for 3-4 minutes until cooked through.

*Butter adds a rich flavor to the chicken breasts and also helps with browning. Feel free to leave it out if you would rather only use oil.
