Description

Lighter Pulled Pork is an awesome Crockpot recipe. Using a pork loin instead of pork butt makes this dinner recipe a lighter option.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pork loin
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 cup BBQ Sauce
  • 8 hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. Mix together the brown sugar, chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, paprika, salt, pepper, and oregano in a bowl. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork loin, and wrap the loin in plastic wrap. Let the rub marinate overnight or up to 24 hours for the best flavor.
  2. Place the pork loin in a Crockpot, and pour in 1 cup of BBQ sauce. Cook on HIGH for 6 hours or LOW for 8 hours.
  3. Shred the pork with a fork and mix into it's juices.
