Description
French Toast Parfaits are an easy, fancy brunch recipe. Use up your Fruit Salad leftovers in this delicious treat.

French Toast
- 1 pound cake
- 1 egg
- ? cup milk
- 1 tsp sugar
- ? tsp cinnamon
- ? tsp vanilla
- ? tsp salt
- 4 Tablespoons butter
Whipped Cream
- 2 cups heavy cream
- ? powdered sugar
- ? tsp vanilla
Instructions
- Slice the pound cake into 1" slices.
- Mix together the egg, milk, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt.
- Melt 2 Tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium high.
- Dunk 3-4 slices of pound cake into the egg mixture, then place them into the hot skillet
- Fry the pound cake on each side for around 3 minutes or until they are brown.
- Then place the other 2 Tablespoons of butter in the skillet to fry the rest of the pound cake.
- In a stand mixer, or a big bowl with a hand held beater, whip together the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla for around 4-5 minutes. (The whipped cream should be stiff, and form mountain-like peaks. If it is too loose keep whipping!)
- Mix together the Easy Fruit Salad, and layer all of the ingredient however you want!
