6 cloves roasted garlic
6 medium red potatoes
1 Tablespoon and 1 teaspoon of salt, seperated
1/2 stick of butter, melted
4 oz cream cheese
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup milk
Fill a large pot with water and 1 Tablespoon of salt.
Cut the washed red potatoes in half and place in the room temperature salted water.
Place the potatoes in water on the stove top and turn the heat to high to bring to a boil.
Boil the potatoes for around 20 minute, or until they are fork tender.
Turn off the heat and dump the cooked potatoes and water in a colander. Place the empty pot back on the same hot burner, and put the cooked potatoes back in that pot. This will evaporate any excess water from the potatoes.
Add the butter, cream cheese, milk, 1 teaspoon salt, and pepper to the pot. Smash together with a potato masher.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place prepared mashed potatoes in a casserole dish.
Sprinkle paprika and pads of butter all over the top.
